ALRIGHT, I ASKED FOREVER AGO, BUT WHO WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT MY ISA LOOPS AU?? | [MASTERPOST]

Heads up this contains a lot, and I mean A LOT of spoilers for In Stars And Time. Including: = Act 6 spoilers, including main mystery and secret encounter = Minimal Act 5 stuff = And a bunch of extra stuff that happens through Act 3 and 4. SO BASICALLY ALMOST EVERYTHING, FINISH THIS GAME COMPLETELY BEFORE READING (ESPECIALLY THAT ACT 6 ENCOUNTER, IT WILL LITERALLY BE THE FIRST THING I MENTION UNDER THE CUT)

With all those warnings out of the way-

IN REPETITION AND CHANGE

Initial Concepts:

I feel it's important to show these sketches because they were the first ideas I ever had. I wasn't even entirely sure I wanted to make an AU at this point, I didn't even know how I'd approach it. But I started sketching and it's been on my mind since- SO! Isa is stuck in the timeloop. I know what his wish is and he DOES have a Loop equivalent! The grumpy dandelion guy is Roboro (it/they/he). Their name is a very small play on Ouroboros and they call Isa "Seedling". However, this post is not about them, as I'm gonna talk about it and Isa's dynamic in a separate post. In short, Isa is his normal loud self up until Act 3, right? They beat the King, they reach the end, and whoops, the loop isn't broken. So now, what happens is that Isa starts getting his brains out. He starts thinking more analytically and tries to problem solve.

The more stuck he gets in his head, the less he's able to perceive his friends as real people, and more like them holding him back. Because even if Isa explains that he's smart, that they shouldn't be surprised if he says something, shock of all shocks, reasonable- They'll forget it the next loop.

So Isa is stuck with trying to portray his confident, loud, supportive facade- Which is fine! It wouldn't be the first time! But it progressively gets more and more frustrating, as he tries to find answers and simply looses the energy to pretend to be stupid.

TL;DR: Isa in the timeloop, unlike Siffrin, becomes more distant and cold rather then something more akin to Sif's mania.

I imagine Isa didn't have this encounter the same way that Sif did. Yeah, frankly, Isa is pissed with the sadness- But that's not why he goes through with this.

In this moment, Isa is trying to kill two birds with one stone. He's trying to get through this quickly, as well as reassure Mira that they can do this! If he shows how strong he is, then she'll feel safe right???

Poor Isabeau forgot that whenever he shows that he thinks ahead, he scares people. How could he forget that? How could he forget that he's inherently---

Family Quest:

I still think Odile is the one to call out to him (same with sus quest).

The hangouts I'm still figuring out, cause I don't think they'd too similar to base game- But, fun fact, at the end of this run, everyone agrees to keep travel together!

Isabeau brings it up, can't hurt if you can fix your mistakes right? And everyone agrees. The relief on Siffrin is the most palpable thing Isabeau has ever seen.

He loops back anyways. (This is one of the initial concepts that I ended up animating. This line in particular is when he reaches the end)

Act 5 Tarot Card:

Thanks to @the-bitter-ocean for prescribing tarot cards to Isa (THEY ALL FUCK SO HARD) and for the RAW ASS LINE

If interacted with in act 5, predictably, Isa tears it apart. He doesn't need the divine judgement upon him, he's faced everyone's perception his entire life.

However, he tears it methodically. Tears it once in even pieces, twice, three times, and one of the pieces once more. In a way he isn't even getting his emotions out, it's like he's actively trying to tear it apart so it stops nagging him, like he wants to shut it up. Though, the Judgement card symbolizes rebirth, absolution and inner calling. In Act 6 he'd be able to look at it and find comfort and confidence in the card.

Act 5 Mirror:

And lastly, I have the Act 5 mirror picture. I haven't quite figured out how to make the normal ones work yet, however, I couldn't let go of the idea that Isa would not want to be in the picture.

The idea of seeing himself at all makes his head hurt and his stomach squeeze. The memory haunts him as he stands to the side and says the word. He didn't think the mirror would catch him.

I still have quite a bit of it to post, especially about Roboro, but I'm gonna leave it here for now.

I still gotta figure out the hangouts and potentially the dagger equivalent- but I have ideas for Bad Touch, the glass equivalent, and some extra little things that didn't happen in Siffrin's loops.

I needed to yap about this, because I've been slowly stacking up ideas and writing and I needed to share it at some point- If anyone read all this and has questions and stuff I fully welcome 'em!!

Cinder: ... That last one did sound badass though.

Jaune: ... I do have to agree on that one. *Taking another look at the false papers* The last name isn't bad at least.

Cinder: Amaryllis? Why? It sounds like we are from Argus.

Jaune: It's a good cover. A father and daughter leave Argus to search for a better life in Atlas-

Cinder: *deadpan* The grimmland would have been preferable to this god forsaken place.

Jaune: *roll his eyes* I know Atlas is the second worst place in Remnant after Mistral, but trust me when i say that i'd prefer to stay another hundred years in the ever after instead of getting my foot in the grimmlands for more than a week.

Cinder: *pouting* But i still want to go!

Jaune: ... *Kneeling down to her size, smiling at the little girl* Cinder, i know that you want to leave this place as soon as possible. *Chuckle* Trust me, i miss Vale as much as you hate Atlas... But you saw how Winter reacted when she talked about her dad. *Shaking his head* I can't just leave her alone, nor her or her siblings.

Cinder: *Sigh* I know that, but why can't i just use my semblance on him? It would be finished in a matter of seconds!

Jaune: *serious* And you'd have killed.

It was a quiet evening, one of those nice ones where the grass in the Meadow seemed to sway like it was caught up in a waltz, and all heaven and earth seemed in tune with it, even the lightning bugs and the leaves on the oak trees.

They were sat out in the grass, not too far from the house. Tam Amber absentmindedly picked along on his mandolin, one conscientious eye on his nine year old niece, who was hunting for wish-flowers. Her dark hair sprung out every which way, unruly and bouncing as she dove through the grass, reminding him of himself when he was her same age.

Clerk Carmine was off with his sweetheart in town, so Tam Amber was the sole parent for the night. Not that he minded- somehow, when CC left, it felt like there was a little more wiggle room for dreamers. Clerk Carmine kept them sensible, kept them safe. Without him, Tam Amber and Lenore Dove would "roam the impossibilities and daydreams of yesterday, tomorrow, and never" as he liked to say sometimes. He and her both had rovin' minds, wandering all over the place, and there wasn't any shame in it. Besides, he loved hearing the things his niece was thinking about.

Tam Amber started to sing as he plucked the strings, watching Lenore Dove blow dandelion seeds everywhere.

"Can't take my past

Can't take my history,

You can't take my pa, 'cuz his name's a mystery.

Nothin' you can take was ever worth keepin'-"

"Oh nothin' you can take was ever worth keepin!" Lenore Dove finished with him, springing onto the blanket and nearly startling him out of his nice reverie.

"Well, Lenore Dove, what brings you over to this here blanket on this fine evening?" he asked, poking her in the belly.

She giggled. "Play some more, I like that one."

"I know you do. That's a Lucy Gray song, it's in your bones," he said. "Your uncle used to go crazy on the fiddle when we'd play it."

"He's already crazy," Lenore Dove rolled her eyes, wiggling her bare toes out in front of her. Lord, she had sass on her. When she and CC would go at it, Tam Amber could barely keep up. They'd banter for days without even stopping to sleep if they could.

"You make any good wishes out there?" he asked her, continuing to pick out the tune of the song quietly.

"Lots. I wished for a thousand birds to be my friends," Lenore Dove said, flopping back on the blanket.

"Well hey, you know what they say. A well-willin' wish will surely will itself real."

"They don't say that. You just made that up!" Lenore Dove exclaimed. "That's a tongue twister!"

"So what if I did?" he said, smiling at her. "Doesn't make it any less real."

"Oh, quit. Keep playin'," she said.

Tam Amber obliged, feeling no need to continue singing but dutifully playing the song to the best of his recollection. Lenore Dove sat up, turned over, and propped herself up on her arms on her stomach to watch.

"Hey, what's that mean in the song? About havin' your pa's name be a mystery?" she asked.

He set the mandolin down in his lap momentarily. "I reckon it's sayin' they don't know who their pa was. His name's a mystery because they never met him."

"Like me," Lenore Dove said, moving over to lie on her back again and gaze up into the treetops of the oaks. "I never met my pa."

"Yeah, just like that. We never met him either, so it's true, his name's a mystery," Tam Amber conceded thoughtfully. "Sorta true about myself, too."

She looked over at him, eyes big and wide. "What? You didn't know your pa either?"

"Pa or ma," Tam Amber said, shaking his head. "Didn't I ever tell you this story?"

"No," she said softly, fingering the patches on his pants. "Can you tell me?"

"Well sure. Not much to tell, really. Back in the old days, the days you like, all the Covey had at least one relation to each other. Your ma, Lucy Gray, Barb Azure, they were all Bairds. Clerk Carmine, Billy Taupe, they were of Clade kin. When that old man took 'em in, they were all already sort of a family. But I came straight to 'em in a box off the side of the road. My ma left me, I s'pose, or my pa, whoever was in charge of me. I never knew 'em. Your mama used to call me a lost soul," he said, chuckling. Lenore Dove was hanging onto his every word with a rapt attention. "I guess that about sums me up."

"If you're a lost soul, I'm one too," she said determinedly. "We're kin like that."

"Well, you're a Baird, so don't let any of that clan hear you disrespecting them like that. They'll roll in their graves," he laughed, gently pulling one of her curls.

"Okay," said Lenore Dove, yanking one of his curls in return. "But if I never knew my pa, then I'm half Baird, half lost soul. How 'bout that?"

Tam Amber looked at her, her big, earnest green eyes, her dirty overalls, the hopeful twitch of her little nose. It had been hell when Maude Ivory left them. He didn't know if he could stand the loss of one more member of the family, and worse, neither could Clerk Carmine. But they had had no idea how much joy this little kid, full of sweetness and sass and dreams and big ideas, was gonna bring them. How she would carry with her life back into the Covey house, and laughter, and love. Just like her mama did. And maybe her pa was the same way, who knows.

"Sure," he said, eyes crinkling up in a smile. "I think that's a fine idea."

0 years old:

Against tradition, both his parents were there to welcome him. They were both young, both scared, both excited, and when he came out breech, they held each other's hands and their breath until he drew his first and SCREAMED.

He came out the same way he would go through life: feet first and impossible to kill, stubborn as a mule. They were so proud and laughed and cried and couldn't get over how perfect he was.

1 year old:

Papa (Cloud could say his name and Mama's) made a little carrot cake from carrots they grew in their garden, honey from their bees, and a lot of love since they didn't have much else. Claudia decorated it with dandelions to match his shockingly thick and spiky hair (just like hers).

He LOVED it, shoveling handfuls in his mouth with a frown of determination while Mama and Papa giggled and kissed.

2 years old:

Cloud said "NO!" and Mama cried. She tried to make the cake again but couldn't focus because he kept asking "WHERE PAPA?!" and when she told him "I don't know", he started saying "NO!" and didn't stop until he screamed himself to sleep.

3 years old:

They moved to the mountains, Mama said they would look for Papa, and Cloud tried every day, even on his birthday, but couldn't find him. He wanted chocolate milk, so Mama got it for him, but stopped wearing her pretty sparkly earrings after.

5 years old:

Cloud was excited to have friends show up. He helped Mama every day, and this year she said they could make a real cake big enough to share! Only one friend from school came, TIFA! And her mom. And they ate cake and had some left over and it was SO FUN!!!

9 years old:

Cloud asked Ma to please stop trying to invite people; they wouldn't come, not even Tifa since she got hurt and her dad said to stay away from him. So they celebrated together, with a small cake and milk (he was too mature for chocolate milk, but regular had lots of protein, which he needed to grow strong).

14 years old:

After Ma went to bed, he slipped out the back door with a small bag of food and a lot of determination. He left her a note. He didn't realize she was watching from the window and crying, knowing she couldn't stop him.

15 years old:

He spent far too much gil to call his Ma, since she had insisted, and ate the cookies she sent with a carton of milk from the mess hall, all while hiding in a broom closet.

16 years old:

Red-faced, he blew out a candle on the ridiculous cupcake Zack got him, all covered in sprinkles and frosting. Zack hollered and cheered and Kunsel blew a party horn. Absurd.

He loved it.

17 years old:

He stared at the glowing eyes above him, wondering if they would ever make it out alive. A skinny arm braced him, and he could barely hear a warbly, whispered rendition of a birthday song as...Zack? Zack. Sang to him. He closed his eyes, not hearing Zack begging for him to stay awake.

20 years old:

He blinked. One moment he was in the desert with a sword. He couldn't leave the sword, it was important. He didn't know why, but he couldn't drop it, no matter what. He blinked again and he was in a city. He blinked again and he was on a train. He blinked again and there was that girl, who wasn't dead? Was she supposed to be dead? Tifa? Tifa. He knew that, he was a First Class SOLDIER.

21 years old:

He was working on some construction for Tifa when she brought him a big glass of milk and a little cake.

"Happy birthday," she said, smiling softly.

He thanked her and she went inside. It was salty. Oh, no, that was from him, as he remembered Zack, Aerith, Ma...

23 years old:

He thanked Marlene and Denzel for the pictures they drew, and let them help him blow out his candles. He also allowed himself a small smile, until Yuffie strapped a stupid birthday hat to his head and he had to chase her down and mess up her hair. Tifa laughed and gave him a big hug and a little kiss on the cheek, which he thought about for several weeks after. Months. Years.

25 years old:

Tifa took him out under the stars.

"Hey Cloud?" she said, taking his hand. His heart raced. She was always a touchy friend with him and he didn't think she knew how much it made him feel like blushing and melting and wanting to put his mouth on hers.

"Yeah?" he said.

"I've been dropping hints, but I don't think you've been picking them up," she said. He tilted his head.

"Is this about the eggs? You SAID cook less than three, I SAW your text: less than sign, then three. Two eggs is less than three. How was i supposed to know you wanted more?"

Tifa giggled.

"No no no," she said. "Well yes, that was one of the hints. The less than three was supposed to look like a heart. Because I like you."

"Oh. I like you too," he said. More than she knew.

"Cloud, I love you as more than a friend. I like you romantically and want to kiss you and go on dates. It's ok if you don't feel the same! But I wanted to be sure to say it clearly, just in case."

Cloud blinked rapidly.

"You...love me?"

"Yes."

"Romantically?"

"Yes."

"You want to kiss me?"

"Yes. Is...that ok? We don't have to change any-"

"YES!" he squeaked, then controlled his voice and pitched it lower. "Yes, that is ok. Um...can I?" He waved awkwardly at her lips.

"Yes," she said, smiling

This red-coated, poetry-nerd asshole was on his LAST nerve. Cloud stomped into the bar and slammed the stupid roses and the stupid luxury chocolates onto the counter.

"Oof, someone's in trouble," said Tifa. Cloud snorted.

"He keeps dilly-dallying. It's been a year. If he wants to have sex, he should just say so. He's hot, I'd just do it if he wanted. But he won't just SAY SO, and I know if *I* try to say it, it'll come out wrong and he'll leave because I'm just...not...words...good."

"I highly doubt he'll give up on you over you being bad at saying you want to sleep with him," said Tifa.

"Not sleep, have sex," said Cloud. "And how do YOU know?! Don't you know he's like, super book smart? I ain't had that education!"

"I know because he turned the color of his coat and dribbled the pie out of his mouth onto my nice booth table the minute you said you wanted to bed him," said Tifa pointing to a dark corner behind him.

Cloud whirled around. She was not joking. There was Genesis, in all his glory, fork hovering midair, jaw dangling, red faced, half-chewed pie in front of him, staring at Cloud.

Genesis quickly shut his mouth and cleared his throat.

"Ahem, Strife, I, well, I did not realize, I would be honored, I thought perhaps you would not stoop so low, after, you know," he waved his hand vaguely.

"After you didn't help Zack, basically made me help kill Angeal, and moped in a cave while Sephiroth was trying to eat the damn planet? Well yeah, that sucked, but you were sick and unaware for most of that, and it doesn't change the fact you're h-hot," said Cloud, only stumbling over his words at the end.

"Oh," said Genesis, gazing into Cloud's eyes.

"Yeah," said Cloud, gazing into Genesis' eyes.

"Get a room," said Tifa. "You're grossing out my customers."

Yuffie waved from a couple tables over, making gagging faces as Vincent sat with her looking pained and Cid rolled his eyes.

Cloud had a very exciting birthday after that.

Have finished the first Witcher game and realised that systemic RPGs give me anxiety.

More thoughts below the cut (spoilers ahoy):

1. It's taken until this moment for my opinion on the matter to fully crystallise but I just can't with systemic games. People look at me as if I've grown a second head whenever I say I prefer JRPGs but the appeal is very simple: A-to-B, straight line, emotional teen, magical airship adventure, kill god, bish bash bosh and you're done. I'm a doctrinaire completionist, I want to absorb everything a piece of media has to offer, complete every quest, trigger every cutscene, max every relationship, and my trouble with systemic games is that this mindset guarantees an utterly miserable time. You're supposed to go with your gut, let the chips land where they may and reconcile yourself with the game's circadian rhythms, and I'm just not built like that, it gives me anxiety that I'm missing content if I don't have a walkthrough next to me at all times, spoiling myself on every twist just to make sure I reach the point where there even is a twist.

2. There are very occasional glimmers of brilliance in the game's writing that make its frequent atonal clangers all the more inexcusable, like a drunken conversation between Geralt, Dandelion and Zoltan about what the witcher really wants out of a relationship with some genuine humour and pathos sandwiched between fetch quests that are constantly about to fall apart at the coding level. Line delivery is universally flat but that may just be the translation, and you're never sure whether the moments of levity are genuine or the result of engine limitations whacking all gravity out of a scene with a lump of plywood. You can just about spy the potential buried under layers of stitch work and technical compromise but the team's bizarre priorities make them very hard to extract.

3. I haven't investigated how involved Sapkowski was in the development of this game. I got the impression from the famous bad blood between him and CD Projekt Red that he signed off the name and pretty much left them to it, but there's various elements from the game that crop up five years later in his follow-up Witcher book Season of Storms (like the Golden Oriole elixir, the prophet Lebioda, the vodyanoi, even the ongoing sorcerer project to create "superhumans" that Sapkowski proceeds to take the piss out of), which suggests he either was involved and contributed ideas, that CD Projekt Red had access to his notes, or that Sapkowski had played the game much like everyone else and felt entitled to filch whatever he pleased as the whole shebang was ultimately his idea. We may never know.

4. The sexual escapades that Geralt IF/THEN logic puzzle's into are about as titillating as a cheese grater and I kinda love how awful they are? While he does get around a bit in the books he isn't nearly as big a man-whore as the game makes him out to be. But a larger incongruity between book!Geralt and game!Geralt is the inevitable product of being assigned the protagonist role in a tale where his decisions shape the world around him in major ways while in the books he is much more a passive observer of human behaviour and a point-of-view character for the real protagonist of the Witcher saga, Ciri. Incidentally, Yennefer and Ciri are completely absent from this game, and Triss (if you so choose) seems to take advantage of Geralt's amnesia to insert herself as the love of his life. One hopes future games will explore this tension but for now the mere existence of a personality beneath Triss's polygonal exterior requires layering a whole lot of book knowledge atop a very skeletal collection of jittering animations.

Nuance button. It's strange and a bit pretentious but as long as it's not overdone I don't hate it. Works better for conlangs then real world languages imo, but a good enough writer can make me enjoy anything

First fandom you wrote for?

I don't know if there's a fandom for it but the first fanfic I ever wrote was for a children's book series called rainbow magic. It was all about fairies -- each series had a theme (e.g. colours, genres of music, types of weather) and each book followed a fairy whose powers related to an aspect of that theme (e.g., my favourite as a kid was Storm the lightning fairy, one of the weather books). An incredibly easy format to take and write fic of, especially when you're...seven? Eight? Somewhere around that age I think

What's your headcanon for Katniss and Peeta's children?

I just kinda love the idea that one of them pursue an artistic career and the other one is a doctor.

Being free to paint or sing or just do art without it being crushed by the necessity of taking responsibility for an entire family like Katniss or sorta instrumentalized like Peeta's paintings as a talent for the Capitol would be a good way to contrast theirs life to what theirs parents lived through.

For the doctor: It's mostly because of that line in Mockingjay when Katniss is talking to Prim and she realize that Prim having the opportunity to train to be a doctor is part what they are fighting for because Prim wouldn't have that opportunity in 12. There is something kinda poetic about theirs children actually getting that that in 12 (I think Katniss might have been pretty reticent at first when they announced they wanted to be a doctor).

I could also see one of them taking over the bakery one day but that's just a me thing, no big reason why).

How old was Katniss when give birth to their daughter?

Well...the epilogue mention 15 years and if they took around a year or two to be in a place where they could be romantic and maybe another year or two before Peeta even mentioned children, I think around 34-35 ?

How many years apart between them in age?

I think the boy is around 1 or 2 in the epilogue (considering he can barely walk, i would say he is 1 and half) and the girl probably elementary school age ? I think they have a five years age gap, probably.

Your headcanon for their name?

I don't know actually, I think they have flower names probably and If Peeta has a naming tradition then maybe one of them is probably named after that. Maybe one of them is actually named Dandelion ? (I mean I don't thing Katniss was a name before Katniss so why not ? ) or Daisy (it's a flower name and I kinda like it).

Who gets the singing and art skill from their parent?

I think both of them can sing actually because it's something they both do with Katniss, I think the girl is a really good baker and the boy draw.

Ok, after a month I think it's time for me to actually say stuff about my OCs! (be warned–this is going to be kinda long.)

I have a few stories/worlds (three I drew characters from I think–) so I'll break it up based on that. After the character’s name, I'll put a day I drew them (I don't want to write descriptions…)

1 - A fantasy world set a long time ago. Basically, the world runs parallel to our world. Set around the year range 1000-1500 (i had a really specific one but i forgor). There are significantly less people than in our world because when “wizards” (normal people who take magic from places it isn't supposed to be taken from) die, there are great natural disasters/magic related catastrophes. Along with wizards, there are naturally occurring magical creatures/people. (I’ve done a lot of worldbuilding for this over the years, so if you are confused I would be happy to elaborate! I'm not going to write it all in this paragraph because that would be. a lot.)

Dandelion (day 2): she is a shapeshifter (can be a human or a mountain lion) who comes from the forest surrounding a small kingdom. Her mom was killed when she was young and she gets separated from her siblings, but she ends up making her way to the outskirts of the small kingdom and eventually becomes some sort of royal guard thing. She wants to go back to the forest, but her best friend (Lev) isn't allowed to leave, and she wont go without him.

Leverett ‘Lev’ (day 13): he is a prince of the kingdom, but not in line for the throne (that's his older sister). He gets sick easily (and is allergic to grass and pollen and whatever), and so is not allowed to do lots of things his sister is. Despite this, he wants to go on a “grand adventure” (with Dandelion) and sneaks out to try to do that more often than people usually want him to. He is really friendly, and is well liked by pretty much everyone he meets. This sort of makes up for the fact that he was taught zero survival skills.

Pon (day 12): they are the literal shadow of the latest wizard. They were brought to life in the wizard’s attempt to live forever (it's complicated) but it didn't work. After the wizard died (old age), Pon lived with his widowed wife until she died a few years later. They inherited the house, a small cabin/cottage in the middle of the woods, and they keep up the garden and read to pass the time. Pon is solid in direct light, and can be solid in the dark, but can also become more like a shadow and also move through walls. They meet Dandelion when she breaks into their house.

2 - Platformer video game concept I've had for a while that I probably wont start for a few years, if at all. Very basic, there are five areas: ocean, volcano, clouds, forest, and mirror world.

Farris(name may change)(day 24): main character. The flower behind their ear gives them a different power/attack for each area. They are friendly/helpful to a fault, causing them to help a magic talking tree.

Briar (day 3): she is the person who gives little hints about the map and the controls. She seems to know a lot about this strange world–more than Farris, maybe more than she should…

Cat merchant(day 27): is a calico cat that sells stuff. She's real silly. Makes Farris eat cat food.

3 - set in 2024 but there's magicians and vampires and dragons etc that are kept secret from normal people. Magicians do magic with the help of a familiar. A magician’s magic is passed down through genetics. Most people have some magic in them but not enough for them to do magical stuff. Not really important but I thought it was a cool idea–vampires drink the magic that's in blood, and if you don't have any magic in you, you're immune to vampires (and some other magic stuff). Same with werewolves–you would just get chomped and have to go to the doctor probably. But I'm getting off topic here. The type of magic that magicians use is different than the type of magic that magical creatures (vampires, dragons, etc) use.

Korbin (day 7): he's a highschooler who thought for all his life that he was just a normal guy. One day he discovers that he is a slightly cooler guy (can do magic), and makes friends with a couple other magical teens. His familiar is a raven named Peanut. She likes peanuts. Korbin really likes drawing, reading and going to the library. He 100% almost immediately gets a crush on Viktor. Because of some worldbuilding that I don't think I wrote down and have mostly forgotten, he accidentally does something and gets features from his familiar (aka cool wings).

Hecate (day 23): she has known she was a magician. She really really wants to do weird necromancy shit, but it is illegal (she does it anyway)(her parents dont know). She wants to be a doctor (100% for necromancy reasons). She has a snake familiar, I forgot her name tho. Snakie is totally on board with the whole creepy bones magic stuff, and she brings hecate small animals to “practice” on, causing hecate to have a bunch of small bones on her at all times. She is a grade younger than the other three. 

Erin (day 20, dragon form day 4): she is a dragon who was secretly swapped at birth with a kid in a magical family. She can change from dragon and human forms. When she uses magic, her eyes turn from brown to a yellowie gold like they are in her dragon form. She is very silly i love her. Since she is not a magician, she has a fake familiar (pet)(a possum named Theo) to blend in more (dragon changelings are really rare and her parents let her keep the possum that she found in her garage). She doesn't like Viktor as fast as Korbin and hecate do, but she warms up to him. She likes sewing.

Viktor (day 8): he's a vampire who grew up in a cult trying to get rid of the type of magic that magical creatures have, out of the fear of it being “too powerful”. He has a cat “familiar”(as a vampire he doesnt need one) named moon. He usually wears a turtleneck to hide his bite scars from people, but his family and the leaders of the cult do know about his vampirism, and are using him as a sort of test subject to try to learn how to un-vampire someone/take away the more potent magic from a magical creature. He ends up becoming friends with the other three after they learn that he's not a crazy cultist.

That's another one I never really think too much about. A lot of people tend to think my family are Nomads, but we’ve been here since before Night City was Night City. My… (counts on fingers) great-great-great grandparents actually bought our property back when California was still one state, so we’re about as local as you get. Before that I think someone came from New York and before that I don’t really know, all over Europe I think.

Strawberries, not like synthetic ones or those over priced cloned ones, real strawberries. We managed to get a little section of them growing at home and nothing can compare.

Probably spring. I love getting to watch everything sprout and bloom, even out in the desert.

Sunny: People usually expect me to say something cliche like sunflowers, but I genuinely love dandelions. Especially when they grow up out of cracks in pavement or sidewalks. It's proof there's still nature in the city, even when they try to hide it under all the concrete. They’re stubborn little flowers and they're perfect. Interviewer: Aren't dandelions weeds? Sunny: Only because someone wanted to sell people on the idea of a perfectly sterilized, useless, solid patch of grass which completely destroyed the biodiversity of most yards. They’re yellow, they're cute, I like them. Interviewer: Got it…

[FAVE SCENT:]

This is a hard one to describe, but do you know how sometimes you can kind of smell outside? Not like… exhaust and garbage obviously… but there's a certain smell that gets in your hair and clothes when you've been out in the wind and sun and you can just tell that's what it is.

Yes please, all of it.

[AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP:]

Probably about 6 or 7 normally. I tend to wake up early after having to for most of my life, but I love going back to bed. I'll usually wake up about sunrise or earlier and go have a cup of coffee and check my plants to see if they need water and if Vik isn't up yet I'll scooch back under the covers and go right back to sleep for a few more hours. Plus naps, naps are great.

Chickens. Okay okay, I know obviously I can't have them in the city, but the farm is well outside the avian exclusion zone. Seriously, they're adorable. (Pulls out phone to show no less than 300 different pictures of chicks and chickens)

Honestly I don't know. I like being close to my family and being in NC, so I don't think I'd want to go anywhere long. I have some Nomad friends though so a trip with them might be fun, maybe somewhere with actual mountains since I really like climbing around the canyons and stuff we have out in the Badlands.

I hope by now that you already know, but just in case you didn't, I absolutely adore this pairing! When I first started reading "Dandelion Wishes," I actually made my poor sister listen to me rant about how much I love this ship (and she hadn't even read the fic so she had no clue what I was talking about), and honestly I had more to say about them than most canon x canon Black Clover pairings, so needless to say, it is definitely canon in my mind.

William is such a sweetheart, and I can really imagine him as someone who has domestic dreams of finding love, settling down, and having a family so it warms my heart to see that he did get to have this (even if it ended in tragedy--which I will never get over. Also, your backstory for how the two of them ended up together is just delightful. Honestly, "Dandelion Wishes" is one of my favorite fanfictions I've ever read in my life, and I have been so invested in it and in William and Zera's relationship from day one. They are so perfect for each other in my opinion, just absolutely made-for-each-other soulmates. I love how they share common interests but have a lot of balance in personality with Zera a little more headstrong and William a little more reserved. They really are in awe of each other's strengths too and have so much respect and admiration for their differences which I just adore.

Zera as a character is so vibrant and so real to me, as well. She just commands attention every time she appears, and every time she does pretty much anything, I can just vividly imagine William staring lovingly awestruck at her and zest for life with hearts in his eyes or floating around his head like in an old cartoon. (He's so in love! I'm going to cry!) Also, her quirks and the adorable way she names her plants is super endearing, and the fact that she is a florist only makes me love her more (but my family actually runs a flower shop (A/N: But I don't work there), so I think I'm very biased in this regard 😅).

I honestly don't get this intense about ships all that often, but I cannot describe to you in words how much I think about this pairing and how desperately I need them to kiss. And I mean desperately. To be perfectly honest with you, at this point, I am so invested in it that it's really hard for me to imagine William with anyone else...which concerns the more neutral, multi-shipper part of me, if I'm being honest, but this ship is just that good. Reading about them has made me laugh and cry and squeal just like (and in many cases more than) reading about any ship between canon characters, and I'm honestly just in awe of how compelling this ship and their story is. I really can't thank you enough for creating Zera, Zerilliam, and the masterpiece that is "Dandelion Wishes"! 💖

YuNeva

Aww they're cute. 😊 To be honest with you though (and I am very sorry to have to say this) in general ships with Yuno in them aren't really my cup of tea personally since I tend to see Yuno as someone who isn't all that interested in romance and (possibly) would just never really want that kind of relationship. That said, according to the Assorted Question Brigade in Vol. 31 he does have a “type” of person he likes...so who knows? Maybe someday he'll want to find love. If he did, I would definitely be supportive of that, and I'm not against the idea of shipping him. It's just not something I personally have ever given much thought to, and, for that reason, I feel pretty neutral towards Yuno ships in general and don't have many thoughts or opinions (Again, I'm sorry about that).

All of that said, if I was to imagine Yuno falling in love, YuNeva is a very sweet pairing, and they make me smile in your stories and posts about them. I really enjoyed them in COTF too! ^^ Going back to that Assorted Question Brigade I mentioned, Yuno himself described his "type" as "someone who's relaxing to be around," and that's something that really sticks out to me about his relationship with Neva. It's very comfortable and almost cozy. They just work so well together, and it feels effortless--like they just naturally gravitate towards each other and genuinely enjoy each other's company. I love that a lot, and I also love how their bond is built on mutual respect and admiration. They really support each other and the moments they can share their vulnerabilities are always very compelling to me. I also think Neva is just a great character on her own (especially her platonic bond with William. So wholesome!). I like her dynamic with Yuno a lot too and how they complement each other. I think I'm a little more invested in their friendship (because I'm weird like that), but I could definitely see them very happy together romantically and I definitely want good things for both of them, so I'd support them falling in love and think you’ve done a great job crafting their love story. 💕

Asta & Yuno

Aww I adore them, and their brotherly bond. Their dynamic and rivalry which is built on a such a strong foundation of familial love and mutual respect was what initially hooked me in Black Clover, and it has been such a delight getting to watch their individual journeys and how they have supported each other through the series. I'm getting a little emotional just thinking about it, honestly. 🥹

One of my favorite things about them is just how wildly different they are as people. Asta has such a big personality, and Yuno is so reserved, but their differences are always respected and really help inspire each other. In that way, I love that their relationship is kind of a twist on the usual rivals dynamic because it isn't just Asta trying to live up to the (quite frankly very OP) Yuno but Yuno also views Asta as his rival as well because he has so much admiration for his passion, resilience, and determination. I was not expecting that when I first watched the anime and thought it was such a refreshing reveal. I love how Yuno's genuine admiration for Asta has been such a driving force for his character throughout the series.

Fuegoleon & Nozel

Yes! I love this dynamic! Nozel being tsundere about his friendship feelings is just so entertaining, and I love to see the trope used in a platonic way instead of just an explicitly romantic one. The love between friends is really important too and can also be difficult to express sometimes, so it was really great to see Nozel kind of struggle with that and struggle with how much Fuegoleon means to him and how much he admires and respects him even if he lacks the words to say it. And yes, it was kind of played for laughs sometimes, (and my sister and I made so many "tsundere besties" jokes about them while binging the anime), but even so, there is something really genuine and really wholesome about their friendship. Getting to see how Nozel reacted to Fuegoleon's injury and subsequent coma and how motivated he was by his respect and admiration for him was just really compelling, and I found the scene in the elf arc in which Nozel is thinking of their rivalry and how much Fuegoleon inspires him to be really moving. Definitely a solid BROTP!

Orina- Pure Evil Durge- I wanna restart and finish her playthrough, I wasn't evil enough the first try and I also broke that save too (I'm a mess) but i really love the concept of Orin's Twin fighting her for evil daddy's approval (and looking at Orin's character model for 100+ hours is uh... Totally not related to why I wanna do this). Plus I miss Ridgebeake terribly but he doesn't really fit into any other runs. My sweet dumb big murderous birbo 😭

The "I have too many race mods, someone take my internet away" run: I hardly ever actually use the dozen+ modded races that I have (all roads lead back to drow, even if I pick another race badaboombadabing it's grey with pointy ears and red eyes almost every time) so I really wanna do a run where the team is nothing but fantastical creatures- minotaurs, werewolves, satyrs, kobolds, nymphs, etc. I always get hung up on this bc I've got like fifty armor mods that are basically made moot by using those races but damnit they're in my load order Ishouldreallyusethemgodswhyiamilikethis

"characters I am DEFINITELY not supposed to be able to play" run: pretty self-explanatory but I want to see exactly how broken and janky I can make the game by duplicating and exclusively using characters that Larian studios never intended, expected, or even dreamt of. I'm talking Karniss, the Illithid dying on the ground in act 1, Gortash's favorite Steel Watcher, BOOOAL, the Owlbear cub, Tuffet the bear, Withers' Big Naturals, I want to take on the Absolute as the fuckin githyanki egg okay?

Snow White and the 7 Dwarves- so this one's kinda silly but I think it would be fun to play with. Tav is snow white, pure pacifist character, honest to a fault and the seven dwarves are a highly skilled band of mercenaries (talents and combat skills based on their names) who have vowed to protect this sweet, clueless, lost girl they found knocked out on the beach after a horrific accident.

Baldur's Boy 3- I wanna do a Kratos run so badly. But I'd wanna have only Kratos and Atreus in the party and that's going to be god of war level hard bc I've got soooooo many extra enemies that I refuse to get rid of bc the vanilla game is void AF of combat. And I'm not actually that good at this game 😂 but it would prepare me for something else I really really really wanna do:

SOLO!!: Id probably end up cheating and being a necromancer but I mostly want no party members, just my walking god of a Tav. AND I wanna do this one with the real-time combat mod. Maybe Kratos too

Norse Pantheon- all I know for sure is Astarion will be Loki and I'll figure it out from there lmao. Halsins personality feels very Thor (and his beef bod backs that up). Debating making Tav Freyja, she would be so fun to play and also I love her more than life. And I've got mirri's playable cats so I could also play as Bygul and Trjegul, who would 100% be tressyms. Wyll's plot reminds me so heavily of Tyr's trust and sacrifice that I think he'd be a good fit. Gale is literally Odin- he's obsessed with an ancient witch, he's causing his own demise with his insatiable lust for knowledge are you kidding me? Odin all day. Dame Aylin is just copy/pasted Brunhilde anyway so that's a given. Shart is giving Sif. Lae'zel would be Freyja, actually, sorry Tav. Can you tell this concept is the one that led to making this post? I joked about it once a week ago and it's eating my brain from the inside out. Ghaik have infected me with my beloved divine idiots and I cannot escape. I'm DREAMING about this idea you guys, in real life being disrupted by the obsession with how fucking fun this would beeeeeeeeeee

And the best part of this is I'm gonna download that photo-mode mod in a couple days and I already know that I will never actually get anything done in this game ever again ✨✨✨✨🤭
